Cirque de la Symphonie Soars with Scores!

March 16, 2016

You won't want to miss this!

Cirque de la Symphonie brings the magic of cirque to the music hall. Each artist's performance is professionally choreographed to classical masterpieces and popular contemporary music. Now Cirque de la Symphonie teams up with the Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra at the Peabody Auditorium in Daytona Beach for one performance only on Sunday, March 20th at 3:00pm.

Celebrated as a “crowd pleasing joy to behold,” Cirque de la Symphonie will amaze with spectacular, gravity-defying movements in perfect synchronicity with beautiful, live orchestral music. Artists include the most incredible veterans of exceptional cirque programs throughout the world – aerial flyers, acrobats, contortionists, dancers, jugglers, balancers, and strongmen.

The uplifting and varied musical program will include film score favorites like “Harry’s Wondrous World” from Harry Potter & the Sorcerer’s Stone and the Main Title from Superman, by John Williams; iconic pieces from Bizet’s Carmen and Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake; and additional inspiring selections from Strauss, Shostakovich, Mendelssohn, Sibelius, Rimsky-Korsakov, Glinka, Offenbach, SaintSaëns, Abreu and Falla.

Single tickets range from $39-$68, student tickets are $10 with Student I.D., families can get a $10 ticket per child with 50% off per adult with child, and groups of 10-19 receive a 15% discount, while 20+ tickets purchased receive a 25% discount. Tickets can be purchased at the Peabody Box Office, online at dbss.org or by calling 800-745-3000. Discounts and group sales are available in person at the Peabody Box Office only.

It is so important to develop an appreciation for music and the arts and this is a wonderful family event!  The reviews are extraordinary exalting, "these cirque acts are perfectly choreographed to the music, making every piece the perfect marriage of movement and music"and "stunning ... one of the most breathtaking things I've seen in a long time."  As the Daytona Beach Symphony Society’s 64th Season concludes with this not-to-be-missed event VertiFit Aerial Arts encourages all aerial enthusiasts and its students to experience  this amazing performance.
